Linda Corupe

Linda Corupe, U.E., has authored and self published over 50 books on genealogy and history over the past 40 years.  The descendant of a United Empire Loyalist from the Napanee, Ontario area, her early forays into publishing covered vital statistics and census, mainly of the Bay of Quinte region.  Over the last few years, however, she has expanded her focus to include less common records from all areas of early Upper Canada, most notably from the Assize Court up to 1833, surviving bastardy oaths (Johnstown District/Leeds & Grenville, Newcastle District/Northumberland and Eastern District/Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry so far, with more to come), and a complete transcription of the land records of the First Heir & Devisee Commission, 1797-1804.

Linda earned her B.A. from McMaster University and is a member of the Ontario Genealogical Society, the United Empire Loyalist Association of Canada and the Ontario Historical Society.  She is on the Archives of Ontario recommended researchers list, providing personalized services for clients, and is very experienced in helping to secure the proofs needed for United Empire Loyalist certificates.
