The Ontario Genealogical Society, operating as Ontario Ancestors since early 2019, is the largest organization devoted to research into family history in Canada. Founded in 1961, the Society has grown to include 30 local branches covering all of Ontario and five Special Interest Groups.
The Mission of The Society is to encourage, bring together and assist those interested in the pursuit of family history and to preserve our Ontario genealogical heritage.
The Objective of the Society is to encourage the study of genealogy and original genealogical research in the Province of Ontario.
